Cauliflower Tomato gravy curry ~ Gobi Tamato Sabzi


Cauliflower Tomato gravy

This is the traditional style of cooking the cauliflower with tomato. I learnt it from my mother and would like to present here for all of those who love to taste traditional curries. This is a very simple dish to prepare and takes 15-20 mins.

Ingrediants:

Medium sized cauliflower

2 medium sized tomatos

cilantro or coriander leaves to garnish

2 small size onions

Green chillis according to your spice

pinch of Ginger garlic paste

pinch of Coriander powder

pinch of Cumin powder

Salt and Red chilli powder according to the taste

for tadka: curry leaves and mustard seeds

Preparation Method:

In the pan heat the oil. Meanwhile cut the onions and green chillies into small pieces.

Once the oil is hot, add the curry leaves and mustard seads. Wait until the mustard seeds pops up.

Now add the onion and green chilli pieces.

Once they become soft, add ginger garlic paste, salt, red chilli pwd, cumin pwd, coriander pwd and mix them well.

While the onions are cooked, chop the cauliflower and wash them.

After the onions turn slight golden colour, add the clean chopped caulifolwer and cover the pan with lid. Make sure you keep the flame in low.

Cut the tomatos into small pieces.

After 5 mins, add the tomatos and mix them well. Keep the lid and maintain the low flame.

After 10-15 mins, nice aroma comes around. Now turn off the stove and garnish the curry with coriander leaves.

Spicy and delicious cauliflower gravy curry is ready.

Serving tips:

This gravy goes well with hot Rice, Rotis  and Naans.
