Spinach Cilantro Snack


A healthy snack for everyone.

Ingredients:

Besan flour – 2 cups

Cut Spinach leaves – 1 cup
Cut Cilantro (Coriander Leaves) – 1 cup

Cut Onion – 1/4 cup

Grated coconut – 1 table spoon
Sesame seeds – 1 table spoon
Ajwain seeds(vaamu) – 1 table spoon
baking soda – 1 table spoon

Bread Crumbs – 1 cup

Red Chilli pwd – as per your taste
Salt – as per your taste

Note: You can always vary the quantity and proportion of ingredients as per your taste. You even can include additional items if you feel they enhance the taste of the dish.

Preparation:

Cut onion, spinach and cilantro into very little pieces. Grate coconut and keep all these aside.
Make fine powder of sesame seeds and ajwain seeds.
Take a bowl and add besan powder, cut spinach, onion and cilantro,salt, red chilli powder, baking soda, grated coconut and above made powder.
Mix all these and make a thick batter using water.

Stove top:

Take a wide pan. Pour oil for deep frying and heat it.
Take a small portion of batter and make any shape.
Then roll it in bread crumbs.
Deep fry this in oil.
Switch off the stove and serve hot.

Tomato chutney is great combination for this.
You can buy bread crumbs in store or you can make at home. Toast white bread slice in toaster. Crush with hands to have bread powder after it is cooled.
