Besan Tacos


A simple recipe which children love.

Ingredients:

Besan Flour – 1 cup
Sooji – 1 cup

Curd(yogurt or Sour cream) – 4 table spoons

Sliced Onion – 1/2 cup
cut Cilantro (Coriander Leaves) – 1/2 cup
cut Tomato – 1/2 cup
Cut green chilli – 2 table spoons

Boiled green peas – 1/2 cup

Chat Masala – 1 table spoon
Tomato Ketchup – 2 table spoons

Red Chilli pwd – as per your taste
Turmeric – as per your taste
Salt – as per your taste

Note: You can always vary the quantity and proportion of ingredients as per your taste. You even can include additional items if you feel they enhance the taste of the dish.

Preparation:

Cut onion, tomato, green chilli and cilantro into very little pieces.
Take cut onions, tomatoes, green chilli , cilantro and boiled green peas in a container.Mix all these ingredients well.
Prepare thick batter using besan flour, sooji, sour cream, turmeric, salt and red chilli powder. Let it keep for 15 minutes.

Stove top:

Take a wide pan. Pour oil for deep frying and heat it.
Make pooris(roti) using this batter and fold them in the middle. Fry them in such a way that the two edges would not stick together.See the picture for clear idea.
These are called Tacos.
Fill each Taco with the above made mixture.
Sprinkle chat masala and tomato ketchup on the top.
